Windows 9 Event Scheduled for September 30

On September 30, Microsoft is going to spill the details about its upcoming version of Windows. The company has sent out invitations for its event, which will be held in San Francisco. The invites simply state “Join us to hear about what’s next for Windows and the enterprise”.

Microsoft Windows 9

Microsoft is expected to showcase a “Windows Technical Preview” at the event or, if not then, soon after it, so that developers can track the changes the company’s making. We’ve seen a number of screenshots of the WTP so far, that revealed a new Start menu, a virtual desktops feature, and a Notification Centre. Additionally, Microsoft is apparently also redesigning and tweaking its desktop UI, in order to improve and flatten traditional icons, and change the look of its taskbar for future Cortana and virtual desktops needs.

More changes will be pushed regularly to WTP users until the OS is complete and ready to be released (should happen sometime next year).According to reports, Microsoft is planning to tweak its desktop UI even further, but these changes are not yet ready for the preview.
